What is Flagdle?

Flagdle is a daily geography game inspired by Wordle and built around flags: in the Flags mode you identify a country in 3 tries from its flag, hidden behind 9 tiles. A new country every day, the same one for every player worldwide.

The Daily Challenge is Flagdle's main mode: every day a single mystery country is drawn for every player worldwide, and you explore it through 9 chained mini-games. Flag, shape, coat of arms, capital, a neighbour's flag, population and currency, GDP per capita, official languages, land area — by the end of a run you know the country from nine different angles.

Each round awards points based on how many attempts you used, and your total feeds the daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards. A run takes about five minutes. The game covers all 195 UN-recognised countries and runs entirely in the browser, with no account and no intrusive ads.

How to play the Daily Challenge in 4 steps

Start the daily challenge. A mystery country is drawn for the day, the same one for every player.
Play the 9 mini-games. Flag, shape, coat of arms, capital, neighbour's flag, population and currency, GDP per capita, languages, land area.
Score on every round. Each mini-game awards points based on how many attempts you used.

Tips to score higher

Every mini-game covers the same country: an answer found early narrows all the following ones. Lock in the continent from the first round.
On coats of arms, look for regional animals and symbols: the quetzal for Guatemala, the kangaroo for Australia, the double-headed eagle across the Balkans.
For the neighbour's flag round, think land borders: an island nation has none, which cuts the possibilities dramatically.
On GDP per capita, reason in brackets rather than exact values: European micro-states and Gulf oil producers sit at the top, sub-Saharan Africa at the bottom.
Land area is easier by comparison: ask yourself whether the country is bigger or smaller than France (551,000 km²).
