Complete Flagdle rules

Flagdle offers six game modes, each with its own rules. All games are daily: the puzzle changes every day at midnight in your timezone, and it is the same for every player.

Flags mode (main)

  • A daily flag is hidden behind 9 tiles.
  • You get 3 tries to identify the country.
  • After each wrong guess, 3 more tiles are revealed.
  • The image also blurs less each try: 20px → 10px → 0px.
  • Input is accent-tolerant (Côte d'Ivoire ≈ cote divoire).

Capitals mode

  • A country is shown: find its capital in 3 tries.
  • Hint 1 (after 1 wrong guess): continent.
  • Hint 2 (after 2 wrong guesses): first letter + letter count.

Hints mode

  • A mystery country is given through progressive clues.
  • 6 tries allowed.
  • Clues cover continent, population, official language, neighbours, etc.

Worldle mode

  • A country silhouette is shown.
  • Each wrong guess gives you the distance and direction to the target country, plus its continent.
  • 6 tries allowed.

Daily Challenge

  • 9 chained mini-games around a single country.
  • Flag, shape, coat of arms, capital, neighbour's flag, population and currency, GDP per capita, languages and land area.
  • Your score feeds the daily, weekly and monthly leaderboard.

Themed Quiz

  • 10 daily questions on a theme: geography, history, sport or literature.
  • 1 minute per question, scoring based on accuracy and speed.

Common rules

  • The puzzle is identical for every player worldwide on a given day.
  • Stats are stored locally (localStorage), no data is sent to a server.
  • Replay mode available after each daily game for practice.
  • All games are free, no account required, no intrusive ads.
