Flagdle, Flagle or Worldle: what's the difference?

Flagdle (with a D), Flagle (without a D) and Worldle are three different daily geography games, published by teams unrelated to one another. They are often confused because their names look alike and all three take after Wordle. Here is what actually sets them apart.

Flagdle is not Flagle

The single letter between them causes constant confusion. Flagdle hides the flag behind 9 tiles that uncover across 3 tries, and offers five other geography modes. Flagle rebuilds the flag piece by piece over 6 tries and sticks to that single mode. The two sites are unrelated: no shared publisher, no shared data, no shared leaderboard.

Flagdle is not Worldle either

Worldle asks you to identify a country from its outline, with distance and direction hints. Flagdle includes a mode built on that principle, under the same generic name, but it is an independent implementation inside Flagdle — not the Worldle site, which remains a separate project.

Frequently asked questions

Is Flagdle the same as Flagle?

No. Flagdle (with a D) and Flagle (no D) are two independent games. Flagdle uses the 9-tile reveal system across 3 tries and offers 5 other modes.

How is it different from Worldle?

Worldle uses a country silhouette with distance and direction. Flagdle offers its own Worldle mode, but the main mode relies on a flag that reveals itself progressively.

What is Flagdle?

Flagdle is a daily flag guessing game inspired by Wordle. Each day, a country flag hidden behind 9 tiles is offered to every player, and you get 3 tries to identify the country.

What are the game modes?

Six modes: Daily Challenge (9 chained mini-games), Flags, Capitals, Hints, Worldle (silhouette) and Themed Quiz. Each has its own daily puzzle.
